250-07 Adapter Rail Clamps provide tight, conductive connection between rails made by different manufacturers.

 

The outside jaw of the 250-07 is in two separate pieces allowing the clamp to handle minor differences in the cross sections of the two rails; the solid inside jaw of the clamp aligns the inside edges of the rail heads to provide smooth passage of rolling-stock wheel flanges. (250-07 may also be used to join R3 and larger-radius curved track; it reduces by half the "straightening" stress resulting from using the alternative 250-01 straight clamp.)

 

Each 250-07 clamps completely around the rail flange--top, bottom and edges--as well as the base of the rail web. This exclusive Hillman design results in a joint that is extremely strong in all 3 dimensions and that ensures conductivity.
