The 332-15 Straight+Power Rail Clamp does double duty. It joins abutting rails in the same tight, strong, conductive manner as does the 332-01 Straight Rail Clamp. In addition, it provides a 16-22 AWG ring terminal lug that can be used for solderless connection of a a power lead to the rail.

A 332-15 clamps completely around the rail flange--top, bottom and edges--as well as the base of the rail web. This exclusive Hillman design results in a joint that is extremely strong in all 3 dimensions and that ensures conductivity.

Consider installing the 332-15 "backwards;" that is, with the screw heads and terminal lug on the inside of the rail. That way, when the ballast (inevitably!) washes down the outer slope of the railbed, the un-prototypical terminal lug and lead wire are less likely to be exposed.
