332-05 Power Connector Clamps provide positive solderless connection of power to the rails in the railbed. Simply crimp the electrical lead into the 16-22 AWG ring terminal lug provided and tighten the clamp around the bottom flange of the rail. (Cut an easement in the PVC strip under the rail to allow brass-to-brass contact between the 332-05 and the rail flange.) Consider installing the 332-05 "backwards;" that is, with the screw head and terminal lug on the inside of the rail. That way, when the ballast (inevitably!) washes down the outer slope of the railbed, the un-prototypical terminal lug and lead wire are less likely to be exposed.
